Handling Editor
Configure FiveM vehicle mass, power, gears, traction, brakes, suspension, damage, fuel, and other handling.meta values.
Handling Editor searches for an <Item type="CHandlingData"> whose
handlingName exactly matches the selected vehicle's handlingId.
Use the editor
- Scan the workspace and open Handling.
- Search by model name or handling ID.
- Select a vehicle. The application checks every
handling.metadiscovered in that resource until it finds a match. - Change a slider or number input. The two controls remain synchronized.
- Click Save, then test the vehicle on a development server.

These ranges are UI guardrails, not universal recommendations. Suitable handling depends on weight, wheelbase, drivetrain, and intended use.
Drive Bias Front = 0means RWD;1means FWD; intermediate values mean AWD.- Brake and traction front bias use a 0–1 ratio, not a 0–100 percentage.
- Max Speed is labeled km/h in the UI, but final in-game behavior must be tested.
- One extreme value can destabilize a vehicle even when the XML is valid.
Save, Revert, and backup
- Save updates supported fields on the target handling entry.
- The application creates
handling.meta.bakbefore writing. - Revert resets the form to the last loaded/saved values; it does not restore the backup on disk.
Code Mode
Code Mode opens the complete handling.meta, not only the active entry. Use it
for advanced fields such as seat offsets and handling flags that are not exposed
in the visual form.
- Save Code replaces the entire file without backup or XML validation.
- Returning to Visual Mode discards unsaved code changes.
- After Save Code, the application attempts to reload the active handling entry.
Common errors
- No handling.meta found: the scanned resource does not contain that file.
- Handling not found:
handlingIddoes not exactly matchhandlingName, including case and whitespace. - No in-game difference: another handling entry or resource may be loaded later, or the resource has not been restarted.
